USA Triathlon partners with Hydrow as Official Connected Rowing Equipment and Rowing Training Partner

USA Triathlon today announced a partnership with Hydrow, the leading at-home connected rower, as the organization’s Official Connected Rowing Equipment and Rowing Training Partner through 2025.

Hydrow leverages innovative technology to bring the on-water, outdoor experience of rowing to the home, recreating the feeling of rowing directly on the water. With the ability to harness the visual, auditory and emotional components of rowing, the connected fitness rower delivers a best-in-class, full-body workout.

“Given its superior aerobic and strength-building benefits, rowing is an optimal cross-training tool and a truly ideal addition to a well-rounded fitness program for multisport athletes,” said Earl Walton, USA Triathlon Director of Education. “Hydrow’s technology re-creates the feeling of rowing directly on the water, giving multisport and other endurance athletes a demanding, but low-impact, workout to help build strength, endurance and aid recovery. USA Triathlon looks forward to helping bring Hydrow’s technology to age group and elite athletes and working together with USA Triathlon Certified Coaches to analyze rowing’s impact on athlete performance.”

As USA Triathlon’s Official Partner, Hydrow will collaborate with USA Triathlon’s Coaching Education team and USA Triathlon Certified Coaches to develop and create educational content sharing the benefits of rowing for endurance athletes. Educational content for athletes will be distributed across USA Triathlon-owned social media channels and digital platforms in the form of a “Rowing Tip of the Month,” a video series with USA Triathlon’s Project Podium athletes and “National Learn to Row Day,” held annually on the first Saturday in June.

Additionally, Hydrow and USA Triathlon will collaborate on the Transformation Program, a four-month program aimed at educating athletes and coaches about the benefits of rowing and the impact it has on multisport training. As part of the program, athletes paired with USA Triathlon Certified Coaches Chris Palmquist, Matt Clancy, Morgan Hoffman and Chad Carpenter will integrate a Hydrow into their athletes’ training for four months, while USA Triathlon’s Coaching Education team evaluates the athlete’s data and performance.

“We’re delighted to officially kick off this partnership with USA Triathlon, an organization that shares our commitment to fitness, community, inclusion, and performance,” said Gretchen Saegh-Fleming, Chief Commercial Officer, Hydrow, Inc. “We’re looking forward to working with USA Triathlon and their outstanding coaching staff to demonstrate the tremendous benefits of rowing for health, athletic performance, and building endurance — engaging triathletes of all levels, from beginners to elite-level competitors. “

Committed to fostering a more inclusive sport and community, Hydrow will also serve as the presenting partner of USA Triathlon’s Together, We Thrive Black History Month celebration and a supporting partner of USA Triathlon’s annual Together, We Thrive: Actions for Change Summit. Hydrow will also support athletes on the U.S. Elite Triathlon National Team and Toyota U.S. Elite Paratriathlon National Team.
