Burnley Football Club and AiSCOUT continue official partnership

Burnley FC have extended the AiSCOUT partnership for the 2022/23 season.

The ongoing relationship between the Clarets and the talent identification platform will see the company become an Official Partner for the new campaign.

First joining forces in January last year, the Club launched a global talent search using AI technology, to identify the next generation of football stars, in a move to introduce new data-led technologies into the football club and expand its brand worldwide.

Award-winning AiSCOUT technology provides players the opportunity to be analysed and generates important data that Clubs want to see, via a mobile phone app. The company has developed a platform that has been recognised by the governing body of football – FIFA, won a World Football Summit award for innovation, and has been shortlisted for many more, while proving amateur players can be found with data.

Since partnering with Burnley FC, 39 players have been scouted via the AiSCOUT app and several players from around the globe have been invited to undertake trials with the Club’s academy.

AiSCOUT also held several open trial days at the Club’s Training Ground, to scout talented players between the age of 7-16 and female players aged 16+ and were the official sponsor of the Clarets Academy International Cup in June. The company were in attendance at the tournament with their highly acclaimed Elite Performance Lab, offering players an opportunity to experience state-of-the-art player analysis technology.

The benefits of the partnership are far reaching, through AiSCOUT the Club can also analyse current academy players ability. In-app Ai benchmark scores for athletic, technical, cognitive and psychometrics are taken from current signed players to allow monitoring of signed players and a benchmark for external players.

Burnley FC’s Commercial Director, Gordon Kaye said: “Our partnership with AiSCOUT has been a great success since we began working together last year, therefore I’m pleased to welcome them as Official Partner for 2022/23 and continue to develop the relationship this season.

“As a football club we are passionate about working with innovative organisations and embracing cutting edge technology, and to have the opportunity to identify talent locally, nationally and internationally, via an app is hugely beneficial.

“We appreciate the revolutionary capabilities of AiSCOUT and having worked closely with the team there during the past year, I’m looking forward to strengthening the partnership further this season.”

AiSCOUT Founder & CEO Darren Peries said: “Working with Burnley FC over the last year has been a great experience. Entering this year as an Official Partner is a very proud moment for all at AiSCOUT. We are looking forward to assisting Burnley FC with all their player, and potential player analysis for many years to come.”
