UAE’s EMPG rebrands as Dubizzle Group

EMPG, which owns and operates several popular classifieds brands, announced the rebranding to ‘Dubizzle Group’ on Tuesday.

EMPG, the Dubai-based unicorn that owns and operates Bayut and Dubizzle announced that it is changing its name to ‘Dubizzle Group’.

EMPG or Emerging Markets Property Group, which owns and operates several popular classifieds brands, announced the rebranding due to the “popularity of the dubizzle brand across its markets,” according to an emailed statement from the company.

The group’s corporate structure will remain unchanged, and each of its brands, including dubizzle, Bayut, Zameen, OLX, and Lamudi, will continue to provide services to its users as usual, the statement said, adding the organization aims to create better classifieds experiences for its users.

Founded in 2015, the Dubizzle Group achieved unicorn status in 2020. The group employs over 5,500 people across ten countries and receives over 167 million visits every month to its bespoke classifieds portals.

Dubizzle Group’s brands have become popular since its launch, as users looking to buy, sell, or rent properties, cars, or household items on its various platforms.
