Past Henkel exec Christian Chopra named president of Scotch Porter

Chopra comes from Henkel Canada Corporation, where he served as general manager of Consumer Beauty.

Scotch Porter, the grooming and wellness brand committed to providing solutions to the problems men face daily through the development of clean, affordable non-toxic products, has expanded of its senior leadership team with the strategic hire of Christian Chopra as brand president.

Chopra brings over 15 years of experience in launching and scaling household brands of multi-billion-dollar beauty and consumer packaged goods companies. In his most recent role as general manager of Consumer Beauty at Henkel Canada Corporation, he successfully spearheaded the division’s innovation strategy, resulting in increased distribution, sales, and contributing to its revenue and share growth. In addition to holding sales strategy and marketing leadership roles with Henkel in Germany, Canada and the US, Chopra served as a brand executive at L’Oreal managing product marketing for Lancome Skin Care.

Chopra to Drive, Lead Tactical Business Operations

As Scotch Porter’s president, Chopra will oversee the company’s business operations and growth strategies as well as work cross-functionally to design and implement new systems and processes.

To date, Scotch Porter has served over 1 million customers nationally. The brand has been at the forefront of innovatively arming a historically underserved sector of men while also driving broader conversations about the entire wellness experience. In the past year, the brand has expanded both its product offerings and its distribution beyond direct-to-consumer channels, entering extended retail partnerships with Target, Walmart, CVS and Macys. Earlier this year, Scotch Porter announced the completion of $11 million in Series B equity financing, led by Pendulum Holdings and the expansion of its hair collection on the shelves of Target locations nationwide — deepening the brand’s commitment to providing clean and affordable solutions for men’s daily concerns and establishing its intentional focus on the often underserved and overlooked men’s textured hair market.

 This year, the brand is slated to continue promoting the importance of 360-degree wellness through the expansion of its multi-purpose product offerings.
