Nirvana Labs: January 2026 roundup

January was a heads-down, shipping month.

We launched Accelerated Block Storage (ABS), opened up our Silicon Valley data center, shipped product upgrade,

Here’s what moved:

ABS is Live

ABS is our crypto-tuned block storage built for always-hot blockchain data.

  • 20K baseline IOPS (sustained)
  • up to 600K burst
  • sub-ms latency
  • performance included in pricing
  • scales from 32 GB → 4 PB

No credits. No throttling. No “upgrade to unlock speed.”

If you need storage that stays fast under real load, ABS is built for you.

Inside SVA2: Storage, Compute, and Nodes – Together

We also shared a closer look inside our Silicon Valley (us-sva-2) facility.

This is the first place where we run:

  • storage
  • dedicated compute
  • bare-metal nodes
  • private networking (coming soon)

all in the same building.

Shorter paths → fewer hops → lower variance → more predictable latency.

Product & Control Plane Updates

We kept polishing the day-to-day experience too:

  • faster onboarding
  • tighter security (IP filtering)
  • CLI + tooling improvements
  • smoother multi-chain ops

Nothing flashy – just better experience for teams running real production infra. Details here.

Case Study Highlight – Optimism Foundation

We’re powering unified, low-latency RPC across the 19 Superchains for Optimism.

It’s a great example of what dedicated + colocated infra looks like in practice — consistent performance across multiple OP Stack networks without the usual noisy-neighbor surprises.

Sonny Singh Joined the Board

We welcomed Sonny to help guide Nirvana’s next phase of growth. He brings a mix of crypto, fintech, and infrastructure experience that lines up well with where we’re headed. See more here.

What’s Coming Next

February’s already looking busy:

  • Consensus Hong Kong – we are cohosting a RWA night with Pharos. RSVP now.
  • ETHDenver – more details coming soon.
  • more ABS updates
  • more case studies

Same focus as always:

make performance the default, not the premium tier.

Because blockchains is demanding and the cloud should keep up.

Nirvana Labs – The Performance Cloud for Web3

Nirvana Labs is a performance cloud, rebuilding cloud infrastructure from the metal up. Purpose-built for always-on, latency-sensitive Web3 workloads.
