NEAR Protocol, a decentralized blockchain platform designed for developing and running decentralized applications (dApps), has announced a new partnership with Nillion Network.
This partnership is expected to increase the supply and strength of privacy solutions for developers and improve their competency in devising secure applications in the DeFi sector.
SpaceNerds, specialising in private computing, plans to leverage actions with NEAR Protocol as the company seeks to provide privacy features and data storage. It comes a few weeks after Nillion integrated with the Ethereum scaling layer Arbitrum to become the floor’s first layer-2 blockchain.
The primary goal of this integration, therefore, is to improve privacy and storage for developers working in the NEAR ecosystem. This “blinded computing” method allows developers to enter, process, and transfer sensitive information and computations outside the blockchain or off-chain. It indicates the potential of blockchain technology in the domain of artificial intelligence (AI). Alex Page, the CEO of Nillion, has also highlighted that this collaboration would increase the possibilities of NEAR and allow developers to develop robust solutions, which would also provide higher levels of privacy.
Nillion and NEAR Collaborate to Boost AI Privacy and Security
NEAR Protocol, created to build an ecosystem of user-owned AI and applications, also synergizes with Nillion regarding privacy. The Russian entrepreneur Illia Polosukhin, who has a background in machine learning and co-founded the open-source TensorFlow platform, has a vision for NEAR to make it the home for user-owned AI tools, which aligns well with Nillion’s privacy-focused model.
According to Page, NEAR focuses on increasing AI self-sufficiency, so Nillion should cooperate. Both organizations are striving for conditions in which users control data that is being used to enhance the best practices of AI applications.
Nillion, founded in early 2021, has attracted support from other crypto-related firms, including HashKey and OP Crypto, and completed its $20 million seed fundraise. As for this new collaboration, NEAR and Nillion are to further push the development of privacy and data handling in the blockchain industry, which in turn, will provide more instruments for developers to optimize their projects.
