Mysten Labs and Alibaba Cloud boost Sui developer support

Mysten Labs expands partnership with Alibaba Cloud to support Sui Move developers

The initiative includes an AI-enabled development environment, educational programs at universities, and community events. It also provides translation of the Move documentation into Mandarin and Korean.

The partnership aims to accelerate both learning and development for new and experienced Sui builders.

AI-Powered Development and Global Support

A key component of this expansion is the AI-assisted Move coding tool, developed in collaboration with Mysten Labs and ChainIDE. This tool allows developers to write Move code using natural language prompts, streamlining workflows and enabling faster iteration. Experienced developers can use it to boost productivity, while newcomers can learn the language more intuitively, exploring the possibilities of Sui’s blockchain ecosystem without steep learning curves.

Alibaba Cloud will also provide cloud infrastructure and tech support for project incubators, offering demo day events in strategic locations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Dubai. These events are designed to showcase promising projects and encourage wider adoption of Sui-based applications. Globally, Alibaba Cloud hackathons will incentivize developers to build new Move projects, creating opportunities for real-world testing and collaboration.

Infrastructure and Onboarding Enhancements

Beyond educational support, Alibaba Cloud will strengthen Sui’s technical infrastructure. Full node services will be provided to ensure network reliability and smooth operations, while Shinami Corp, a strategic partner of Mysten Labs, will offer Gas Station benefits. These benefits make it easier for developers to sponsor user transactions and onboard new participants, lowering barriers to entry for decentralized apps built on Sui.

This holistic approach reflects a wider trend in blockchain development: integrating AI, cloud infrastructure, and educational programs to accelerate adoption. For example, Ethereum’s AI-assisted coding tools and developer grants have demonstrated how support ecosystems can significantly expand the pool of skilled builders. By combining technical infrastructure with practical incentives, the Lister Labs and Alibaba Cloud partnership mirrors these successes while focusing specifically on Move and Sui.
