Wix merchants in Canada can now offer their customers Klarna’s alternative payment options at checkout
Klarna, the global leader in the generational shift away from credit cards, today announced its expanded partnership with Wix (Nasdaq: WIX), a leading global SaaS platform to create, manage and grow an online presence. Together, Wix and Klarna will bring fair and flexible payment options to Wix eCommerce merchants across Canada.
“Consumers today are increasingly mindful of how they are spending, and are seeking alternatives to traditional interest-bearing credit options. Over 150 million consumers worldwide choose Klarna because it’s a fairer and more sustainable way to pay, providing them with greater flexibility and control,” said Kristina Elkhazin, Head of North America, Klarna. “We’re thrilled to continue our successful partnership with Wix to enable more Canadian retailers to offer this superior shopping and payments experience to their consumers.”
Market demand for alternative payment options is growing fast, with at least half of Canadians aged between 25 and 56 looking for flexible payment options like Klarna at checkout, according to Klarna research.
Through this partnership, Wix merchants in Canada can now easily offer Klarna’s suite of flexible payment options, including its popular “Pay in 4” solution, while increasing average order value, conversion and tapping into Klarna’s growing ecosystem of 150 million global customers and app users.
“Wix is always looking to expand partnerships to new geographies and continue bringing more value to our merchants across the globe,” said Amit Sagiv and Volodymyr Tsukur, Co-Heads of Wix Payments. “Together with Klarna we are happy to continue to provide Wix merchants with more payment options to increase conversions and their overall cart value, and supply current and new customers with more payment options.”
This expansion follows the success of the Wix and Klarna global partnership launched in 2021. In addition to Canada, Wix offers Klarna to e-commerce merchants across markets including the US, UK, AUS, NZ, DE, IE, PT, CZ, AT, CH, SE, NO, FI, DK, BE, NL, FRA, ES, PL, GR and IT.
