Events.com acquires HelpGetSponsors.com

Events.com, a La Jolla, California-based global provider of event planning and sponsorship management software, acquired HelpGetSponsors.com (HGS), a Raleigh, NC-based event sponsorship technology company.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The acquisition allows Events.com to provide its current and future customers with the tools and skills to find, sell, and manage sponsors, in-kind partners, vendors, and expo sales. The deal will expand Events.com’s focus on sponsorships-driven revenue growth for customers. It will also offer sponsorship sales and management software, automated sponsorship matching, sponsorship consultation, and educational services for events of all types and sizes.

The software as a service (SaaS) HelpGetSponsors automates sponsorship sales and management. Tom Crichton, who founded HelpGetSponsors, has over 25 years of experience in sponsorship and media on behalf of event properties, including national sports properties and sponsorship agencies. As one of Events.com’s Advisory Board members, he will continue to assist the company in its development.
