Disturbed teams up with BevNomad to launch Molten Smoky Colas, delivering bold alcohol-free alternatives for fans

Known for being highly selective with product partnerships, the multi-platinum rock band Disturbed is entering the beverage space with purpose: creating bold alternatives to alcohol that authentically resonate with its fanbase.

The band is proud to announce the launch of a new lineup of hemp-derived THC Smoky Colas and Functional Smoky Cola Mocktails, in partnership with the national beverage accelerator BevNomad. Founded by Disturbed’s drummer Mike Wengren and produced at his commercial beverage facility in Wisconsin, the Molten Smoky Colas lineup was developed with direct input from members of the band. The mission: to deliver a distinctive whiskey cola-inspired experience that reflects the attitude, authenticity, and intensity Disturbed fans have come to expect.

Wengren and the band spent the past year developing a proprietary smoky cola recipe and brand identity, inspired by the familiar ritual and flavor profile of a whiskey cola. The Molten team recognized that the fruity, seltzer-based alcohol alternatives that dominate the category fail to resonate with veterans, working-class consumers, and a significant portion of the general public. Disturbed sees Molten as more than a beverage brand. Their goal is to help broaden awareness and acceptance of emerging alternatives, including hemp-derived THC beverages and functional mocktails, among consumers seeking new approaches to social drinking, wellness, and moderation.

In addition to offering the brand online direct-to-consumer in select states, Molten is partnering with forward-thinking distributors who recognize that the non-alcoholic category is still in its early stages of evolution. Through partnerships with distributors such as Atlantic Beverage, covering Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, Molten aims to broaden the range of premium non-alcoholic options available.

“What’s exciting about Molten isn’t just the quality of the liquid or the connection to Disturbed; it’s what the brand represents for the future of the category,” said Adam Burnham, Senior Brand Manager at Atlantic Beverage. “For years, non-alcoholic options have largely centered around fruit-forward seltzers and lighter flavor profiles. There has been a noticeable gap for consumers who gravitate toward smoky cocktails, whiskey colas, and darker flavor profiles. Molten brings something genuinely new to the market, serving an audience that has been largely overlooked within the non-alcoholic space.”

The initial Molten lineup features two zero-sugar, hemp-derived THC beverages, Smoky Cherry Cola and Smoky Vanilla Cola, each infused with a sessionable 5mg dose of hemp-derived Delta-9 THC. Molten’s 10mg version will be released in the coming weeks. Complementing the THC lineup are Molten Functional Mocktails without THC, which mirror the same smoky cola recipe while incorporating functional ingredients including L-Theanine and Lion’s Mane.

The launch marks Disturbed’s entry into two rapidly growing beverage categories: hemp-derived THC beverages and functional mocktails. The band will support the release through promotional activities surrounding upcoming performances at Inkcarceration Festival in Mansfield, Ohio, and Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

“We wanted to create something that felt as bold and intense as our music—smoky, unexpected, and impossible to ignore,” said Mike Wengren, drummer for Disturbed. “This wasn’t about putting our name on a can. We wanted to build something real, something with attitude, something Disturbed Ones will love. Molten hits that mark.”

The Molten beverage lineup will be available through DrinkMolten.com and select retail partners, with additional market availability, distribution expansion, and release details to be announced soon.
