Cision extends Reddit partnership

Cision’s Brandwatch added Reddit data to its social panels last May.

Consumer and media intelligence provider Cision is expanding its partnership with Reddit.

Last May, Brandwatch, which is part of Cision, added Reddit data to its Social Panels, giving Brandwatch users access to better analysis of its audiences on the social media platform.

The extension of the partnership, announced last month, means all Brandwatch and Cision customers will be able to leverage Reddit Data API, meaning real-time Reddit data will be available directly within Cision’s product suite.

The goal of the additional information is to shed light on what target audiences are talking about, as well as their preferences, and to provide insight into consumer behavior, which will enable the development of better strategy, the companies said.

Cision intends to build on the partnership by using the data to strengthen its brand reputation and audience analysis technology.

Reddit held its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange last month, making it the first major social media company to go public in years. Reddit and selling shareholders raised about $750 million from the IPO.
