Animoca Brands collaborates with Honda for Web3 fan engagement at Japanese Grand Prix

Animoca Brands Japan, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd, will collaborate with Honda Motor (NYSE:HMC) Co., Ltd, to gift fans and participants membership NFTs and limited-edition commemorative NFTs at events associated with this week’s Japanese Grand Prix 2023.

This Web3 fan engagement will also involve another Animoca Brands subsidiary, Gryfyn, along with GET Protocol, a leader in delivering accessible NFT Ticketing infrastructure to mainstream audiences around the world.

NFTs to be gifted

The NFTs will be gifted during the FORMULA 1™ Honda & Red Bull Welcome Event at Zepp Shinjuku (Tokyo) in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, on September 20 and at the Honda booth at the Japanese Grand Prix 2023 at the Suzuka Circuit from September 21-24.

Honda plans to offer special experiences and perks at various future events to holders of Honda KEY NFTs, including through special collaborations with various companies.

Initially, Honda will distribute Honda KEY NFTs to all fans who apply for the lottery to purchase tickets to the welcome event in Tokyo, a special event organised by Honda.

Event attendees will receive a commemorative NFT, to be airdropped to ticket holders after the event.

In addition, Honda KEY NFTs and other special items will be available for redemption by fans visiting the Honda booth at the Grand Prix.

Collaboration

Animoca Brands Japan and Gryfyn, a Web3 wallet focused on connecting brands and communities, previously announced a collaboration with Honda to further fans engagement in Honda’s motorsports portfolio.

Honda is also working closely with Animoca Brands Japan on Honda’s Web3 fans strategy, with Gryfyn as wallet partner to host the Honda KEY NFT.

GET Protocol recently partnered with the Dutch Grand Prix to launch ticket-linked digital collectibles at the Zandvoort 2023 race and will be assisting Honda in launching its special commemorative NFT.
